It is a hack and slash game with different unique combination attacks for different weapons that the player can aquire through the game.
The basic User-Interface includes a heath bar(green bar), a mana bar(yellow bar) and a kill counter.
The player could change between the weapons that they aquire through the game.Thw player could use up to 4 main characters and 2 sub-characters and the use of a dragon.The changing of a character is basically the changing of the unique weapons that the characters used.The players could equip up to about 10 weapons and the players are also able to equip usable items that can increase the players health and mana.The equip of accessory is also avaliable.
Each individual character and weapons can gain experience through battle ,the higher the level of the character or weapons, the higher the health or damage the player could do to the monsters.There is also 5 different endings to the game .Each ending can only be unlocked only when the player fulfill some of the unique requirements.Weapons can be auquired not only from dungeons or fields, it also can be aquire from buying from shops in certain maps,the purchase of health/mana increase can also be aquire from the shops.
There are also free expedition that the player can unlock through the game.This free expedition enables the players to aquire weapons and items.
The game begins with Nowe, a young man that had been raised by a dragon since young, he completed his training to be a Knights of the Seal, which is a military organization dedicated to protecting the magical seals, located in five districts, that hold the red dragon's seal in place.
During his first mission, Nowe learns that the keys are powered by the life energy of "martyrs", or citizens of the former Empire that had almost destroyed the world during the war. Due to having doubts about his duties, Nowe later encounters a mysterious young woman named Manah, who have the desire to help the people by freeing the districts from the rule of the knights.
Nowe is given further reason to doubt the knights when their leader, General Gismor, betrays him by first poisoning his drink, and then revealing that he also poisoned General Oror, the former leader of the Knights of the Seal, who was Nowe's adoptive human father.
Even though Nowe has betrayed the knights, Eris still has faith in him and resolves to find a way to bring him back to the Knights. With nowhere else to turn, he travels on his own with the dragon Legna as his only companion until he once again crosses paths with Manah. Intrigued by Manah's purpose, Nowe accompanies her on a quest to free each district, unaware of what consequences their actions would have on the world.
